The whole area is ideal for those who enjoy cycling, horse riding and walking. There are many exciting places to visit including Morwellham Quay and the National Trust properties of Cotehele, Buckland Abbey and Lydford George, with its White Lady Waterfall.

| Tavistock, 6 miles, is a popular market town with pannier market, shops and opportunities for trout fishing. Enjoy canoeing on the River Tamar and Tavistock Canal, or cycling on the Plym Valley track or the newly-opened cycle track in Tavistock; all of which your host will be happy to advise you upon.

The North and South coasts are within easy reach by car and offer an amazing choice of splendid sandy beaches, watersports of all kinds, cliff top walks, swimming, surfing and other seaside activities. The old stannary town of Launceston with its castle ruins is a short drive and within easy driving distance is the Eden Project.

| For those who enjoy a game of golf there are several good 18-hole courses in the area including the famous international Jack Nicklaus course at St Mellion. A must for all the family is Trethorn Leisure and Golf Park at Launceston.
